We’re excited to share the first set of updates in our ongoing effort to enhance the VisionSync experience. This release introduces a cleaner, more intuitive interface in high-use areas—making it easier to navigate, manage, and collaborate on Strategic Action Items.
Revamped Navigation & Header
A simplified, modern header and navigation layout

Revamped Strategic Action Item Experience
The Strategic Action Item view - one of the most frequently used areas in VisionSync - has been redesigned for clarity, efficiency, and collaboration.
Three-Pane Strategic Action Item Layout
Left Panel: Strategic Action Item snapshot including progress updates, plan hierarchy, and a list of all Strategic Action Items for an organization entity within a strategic plan
Center Panel: Tab-based workspace for Labels, Metric, Users, Progress, Tasks, Comments, and File Uploads
Right Panel: Quick actions to Copy, Move, Add to watchlist, or Delete a Strategic Action Item
Draft & Publish Workflow
Strategic Action Item creation now supports multiple steps
If only some steps are completed, the item remains in Draft status
Strategic Action Items are Published only after all required steps are completed, based on configuration
Draft items can be revisited and completed later without losing progress
Sharable URLs
Each Strategic Action Item now has an independent, shareable URL
Individual tabs (e.g., Progress, Tasks, Comments) also have their own shareable URLs
Flexible Team Assignment During Creation
While creating a Strategic Action Item, users can:
Add themselves as a team member with a specific role, or
Skip team assignment entirely and proceed
Expanded Title Field
Strategic Action Item titles now support longer text
Updated from a single-line input to a multi-line text area
Enhanced Labels
Labels can be configured as mandatory or optional based on system settings
All labels are searchable for faster selection
Rich Progress Updates
Progress comments now support:
HTML-formatted text
Emojis
@mentions of Strategic Action Item users
Simplified Task Management
Tasks can now be:
Assigned to users associated with the Strategic Action Item
Created with a due date only for faster entry
Rich Comments
The Comments tab now supports:
HTML formatting
Emojis
@mentions of Strategic Action Item users
Confirmation Dialogs
New confirmation dialogs added across all Strategic Action Item tabs
Helps prevent accidental actions and data loss

✨ Enhancements
Users can still switch between the legacy UI and the new UI
Hint text will be added to Security & Privacy settings to improve usability
Validation: If a Strategic Action Item start date is set before the Strategic Plan start date, it displays an error message.

Various bug fixes, UI, and overall performance improvements have been implemented for a smoother user experience.
